Amy Grayson’s quiet life as an elementary teacher shattered when a stalker forced her into hiding at her uncle’s summer cabin. Chase Donovan, her preoccupied next-door neighbor, reluctantly takes her protection on as a project while he cracks the mysterious death of his police partner.
Amy’s stalker haunts her every move, in spite of Chase’s measures to keep her safe. A clever ploy by a determined madman finally separates Amy from her protector and flings her into the treacherous Idaho wilderness. Vulnerable to the harsh elements, Amy barely makes it back to the safety of her uncle’s cabin.
A desperate attempt to save Amy leaves Chase seriously wounded and lying helplessly in a hospital bed. Amy’s fate is equally as uncertain. Loyal police officers safeguard Chase, but abandon Amy, the woman they believe is responsible for Chase’s injuries.
Who is responsible for hunting Amy, and how do they know her moves as she makes them? Could she have more than one stalker? Will Chase finally be able to protect a woman he cares for?

This book was definitely disappointing. I didn't have a problem with the grammar or writing style which is always a plus. But I agree with a lot of the critique from the reader that only gave one star. As she mentioned the changing of the heroine's mother from Eva to Sylvia and back to Eva again was distracting. And there was an entire pivotal scene where the hero (Chase Donovan) was basically having a conversation with himself. The scene began with him talking to someone named Gary and then Gary suddenly became Donovan! So it was a lot of Chase said to Donovan; Donovan looked at Chase. This book really does seem to take place in just 48 hours! And it was jammed pack! The heroine was attacked/badly injured on at least 3 occasions, twice requiring airlifting to the hospital. I have no idea how she actually survived. She was also attacked at the hospital, choked to death, but thankfully was resuscitated. It seems unreal that on the run from a stalker she is going to be immediately sexually attracted to a stranger and fall in love in 24 hours. There were too many villains and unnecessary plot twists.
The hero was okay, I think the book moved too quickly, trying to pack lots of drama (into 2 days) that there wasn't enough character development.

The Stalker of Silver King edition by Lee Scott Romance eBooks Reviews
Wonderful service!
I will recommend this book to any mystery buff. It's a good with a few hang onto your seat moments.
This book was a surprise. I didn't expect to get sucked in, but it happened quickly. First off, it is set in Eastern WA and Idaho - this is not common and being from that area it is fun to come across something based there. Secondly, the story line is really good. Characters are believable and developed. Thirdly the plot was a twist I didn't see coming until the last few chapters. There were a few instances of where I wondered how that character knew the info they knew because I don't remember another character telling them that info - but hey, I could have missed it because I was so intent on getting to the next page. A really good read.
Okay, firstly the author can't remember names. the Mother of the heroine changes from Eva to Sylvia and back again, Sandi is first the hero's old girlfriend then the heroine's aunt! Then they fall in love in five seconds, the hero is shot and gets right out of bed to go running around allover the mountains after the girl is kidnapped with apparently no difficultly. The heroines passes out a lot. And there are too many villians! The entire time frame of the book is about 24 hours!
